Spring Spectacular at Metrolina Expo

We are having a great show at Metrolina Expo off I77 at the Sunset Road exit. Lots of great vendors, good food and hopefully good weather. I have a couple of beautiful wrought iron table and chair sets, small and mid size olive buckets, burlap netting and tons of decorative and useful items for sprucing up your home.

Sunday is the last day for the show so hope you can make it out.

Keep on Moving On

IT'S BEEN A SEASON OF MOVING
I am no longer at Oak Street Antique Mall in Cornelius. Things moved too slow for me there. Instead, I have taken on a double booth at the new Key City Antique Mall on the Main Street in North Wilkesboro. It is a fantastic space in an old furniture factory. Two stories of rustic walls and floors, old creaky elevators and stairs and old metal pipes. There are a lot of great dealers with booths full of fine American antiques, rustic furniture and farm tools. They carry wines from all the local North Carolina wineries, with tastings every weekend. And soon, there will be a distillery next door making moonshine, whisky and bourbon. As soon as it gets going, there will be bus loads of tourists coming for a taste of the South that should put them in a fine mood for shopping at Key City.

MOVING AT THE SLEEPY POET.
After being on aisles 8 and 13 at the Sleepy Poet for a few years, I was offered a larger booth on aisle 4, near the front of the store. It is a prime location and I am happy I decided to move. I hope to sell more furniture from this larger booth.

Up to My Eyeballs in SOAP

Who knew that mere soap could conger up memories of Christmas past. That must be the explanation of why my Christmas scented soaps are flying out of my booths at Sleepy Poet and the Depot. Shut your eyes and think about smelling Peppermint Frost, Cranberry Chestnut, Sugar Plum, Gingerbread, and Fresh Holly.

Moving in to North Wilkesboro in January

Can't wait to set up my new double wide booth at the Key City Antique Mall in North Wilkesboro in 2015!!
Two floors of antiques and collectibles and much more. They are doing everything right to attract people to the mall. There will be a brand new distillery next door, creating moonshine, whiskey and bourbon for tasting, Ashe County cheeses and goodies and wines from the numerous wineries in the vicinity.

...So Little Time

Out of 11 new to me clocks, only three work. This really isn't an issue for me since I only buy for the looks anyway. Clocks have been an on going theme since I started my business, but never have I found so many clocks in one day. There is one small pink Elgin and one large white St. Regis. The rest are Big Bens and Baby Bens all made by Westclock.  Not one Quartz or battery operated in the bunch. Just love that soothing gentle ticking sound...from the three that work!

New Booth at Oak Street Mill in Cornelius, NC

After an exhausting 5 days at the Metrolina Extravaganza, I drove to Cornelius on Monday to set up my new booth. I am excited to be a part of a successful antique mall that is selective in it's vendors and merchandise and has been in business for years. I like the small size too. You can really make an impact in a smaller mall. Hope everyone will stop in when driving up I77. Here are some pictures:

Metrolina Extravaganza

Hope everyone will come see my booth in Building B.  Have some great new things for decorating for the holidays.

Show runs Thursday through Sunday. All the buildings, tents and grounds are full of antiques, collectibles and things for the home.
